Does anyone know if it is illegal for a loan mod to use the deceased husband as primary holder

Permalink Reply by Jeri Harris on May 12, 2012 at 4:56pm My question exactly. According to Nationstar, the loan mod is NOT a new contract, just a modification, modifying the original contract. I had a friend who was widowed, and the bank was going to make her refinance because her husband was the primary. Nationstar's take on this does not make sense to me
