Supporting, Informing & Connecting People in Foreclosure
Anyone else with BankUnited? working on case with BankUnited--I know the original bank was BankUnited, FSB, FDIC took it over last year and now the newly formed BankUnited (no relationship to BankUnited FSB as I understand) is listed as Plaintiff--no other information provided on summons--does anyone know the law of a bankrupt bank (as in BankUnited, FSB) and forclosure procedure? somewhere I remember reading that the foreclosure would be on hold until after the bankruptcy is over?

Three directors and officers of BankUnited Inc. sold a combined $15.3 million in stock in the first week of September.
BankUnited director Richard LeFrak, one of the wealthiest people in the country, sold off about $3.7 million worth of shares in the company – his largest of three sales of its stock this year. The billionaire New Yorker sold 149,387 shares of the Miami Lakes-based company (NYSE: BKU), Sept. 5-7, at prices ranging from $24.63 to $24.80 a share, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commissionfiling. After the sales, LeFrak still owned 906,892 shares of the company.
In May, LeFrak sold 135,733 shares of BankUnited for $3.34 million. Days later, he sold an additional 100,113 shares for $2.43 million.
LeFrak is CEO of real estate development firm LeFrak Organization, which is part of the team that plans to build on the Biscayne Landing site in North Miami. In March, Forbeslisted ranked him 205th on its worldwide list of billionaires, with an estimated net worth of $5 billion.
Meanwhile, BankUnited COO Rajinder Singh sold 283,184 shares of the company for nearly $6.98 million, Sept. 5-7, according to an SEC filing. The prices ranged from $24.39 to $24.85 a share. Singh still owned 855,179 shares afterward.
Another SEC filing shows that BankUnited Vice Chairman and Chief Lending Officer John Bohlsen sold 184,673 shares of the company for nearly $4.6 million, Sept. 4-6. The prices ranged from $24.78 to $25.19 a share. He still owned 829,466 shares of the company.
Both Singh and Bohlsen, along with BankUnited Chairman, President and CEO John Kanas, signed new three-year employment contracts in August. Their compensation is largely tied to company performance and includes many potential stock bonuses

BankUnited's witnesses did not show up for trial. The Judge dismissed the case.
Permalink Reply by foreclosureweary on January 17, 2013 at 1:03pm CONGRATS!!!!!Great--why do you think they didn't show up?--did the attorney show up?--
Well, it is not my case. However, i have the same players involved in my case. The attorney for BU did show up, but no witnesses. The attorney claimed that they all got the flu. The judge said, that BU should have been able to send someone to this trial, and got upset that the whole afternoon was reserved for this case and now they can't move forward. So he just dismissed the case without prejudice.
Is anybody here actively have a case ongoing with BU in FL. ?
Permalink Reply by Striker on January 18, 2013 at 12:28pm Hey Pro Se. . .Good for you. . .I've been fighting Bu for two years now. . .had my MSJ thrown out and BU has cancelled three MSJ hearings. . .for no obvious reason other than that they are maneuvering to substantiate their standing. Appears most courts are still on the side of the banks. Hang in there.
