Permalink Reply by Allie buster on February 26, 2011 at 2:36am There is nothing "honorable" about Judge Peggy Gehl. Here's my experience...
The attorney for my lender is Marshall C. Watson. I was served with a FSJ, without ever being offered a mediation hearing. When I appearred for the FSJ, Judge Eli Breger ordered a mediation hearing prior to sale of the property. The mediation was scheduled for August 30, 2010. A week before the mediation, Watson's office called me to say that the mediation was cancelled. I suspected that this was an attempt to deter me from showing up, so I said that I would be at the mediation unless I received notice in writing. The court did not approve the cancellation. I received written notice 2 days prior to the mediation. FL Law requires 5 days advanced notice. The mediation was not rescheduled, and my property was sold. Next, I received notice to appear for a writ of possession, where I encountered Judge Peggy. I informed her that Watson violated a court order, and inquired as to what consequence he would face. I added, that if I was ordered to attend drug rehab, and I violated that order, I would go to jail. So I wanted to know what his punishment would be. She laughingly said, " I guess we're going to have to send Mr. Watson to jail, won't we" I told her that I didn't find it funny in the least, but decided not to say anything more because I didn't want to end up in jail for contempt. They r all scumbags.

Beginning July 1, 2010, all current and new foreclosure filings in the 17th Judicial Circuit will be handled by the newly established Foreclosure Case Management Unit. State legislators approved a one-year program and allocated $6 million to the Florida State Courts in an effort to mitigate the impact of the rising foreclosure backlogs statewide. By utilizing senior judges and a team of case managers, this new unit will do its part to help eliminate the nearly 60,000 case backlog in Broward County. |
